Hi james, they actually dont use the 747 anymore. They have switched to the B777-300ER but they later increased the service to twice daily. So yes, they do quite well on this route. Great job by SIA pilots! My uncle is a pilot for the national carrier and a lot of these guys are really bright

The rudder needs to …
The rudder needs to be used all the time on this kind of approach. You will see that the plane actually yaw right before the touch down. This is the crosswind technique. Great landing and fantastic video. Praises to the pilots for making the landing look easy even though its not.

Awesome landing vid. Its amazing how the aircraft aligns itself to the runway just at the last minute instead of shooting off to the grass. Amazing how SQ is using the B747-400 to ZUH. Must be able to attract alot of pax.

Oh my gosh, that is a scary landing !!!

I flew with Singapore Airlines from Tokyo to SIngapore and we went though a storm with massive cross winds and the plane shook violently for 45 minutes (this was just south of the Japanese coast line).
